Small Animal Herbal / Naturopathy Consults

Our own Naturopath, Deb Nye-chart is available for consultations for pets on Wednesdays. We are able provide a unique combination of natural therapies and upto date modern Veterinary medicine, providing the very best care for our furry friends.

Naturopathy is a holistic modality that considers the whole animal, its mood, mental state and the function of all bodysystems. Treatments may vary between single or combinations of herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, Australian Bush Flowers, dietary advice and homeopathy. Natural remedies are an individualised form of treatment and prescriptions are customised for each individual.

A range of conditions lend themselves to support with natural therapies, particularly chronic conditions. It is always preferable to provide support to the body systems before a chronic disease state sets in. Herbal treatment may reduce the need for conventional drugs and hence reduce the expected side effects of long-term use. Herbal treatments support the body’s ability to heal and when used correctly have no adverse side effects.

Consider natural therapies for the following:

  • Allergies
  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Behaviour / stress disorders
  • Cancer
  • Cardiac support
  • Cushings (hyperadrenocorticism)
  • Diabetes
  • Digestive issues
  • Dental (teeth and gums) disease
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Immune support
  • Irritable bowel
  • Liver support
  • Skin conditions
  • Thyroid conditions
  • Urinary tract disorders
