End of Life Care for Pets

Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is one of the hardest moments we face as pet owners. Our goal is to make this transition as peaceful and compassionate as possible for both you and your pet. We provide gentle, respectful end of life (euthanasia) services designed to minimise fear and pain, allowing your pet to pass comfortably and surrounded by love.

Whether in the comfort of your home or at our clinic, our team is here to guide you with understanding, honesty, and care.

Is It Time?

End of Life Questionnaire

Making the decision to say goodbye can be overwhelming. The following questions may help you reflect on your pet’s quality of life. There are no right or wrong answers, only what feels right for your family.

  • Is your pet eating, drinking, and enjoying food as they used to?
  • Can your pet move comfortably, or is mobility becoming painful or limited?
  • Does your pet still show interest in favourite activities or companionship?
  • Are there more “bad days” than “good days”?
  • Do medications or treatments still provide comfort, or do they cause distress?
  • Is your pet experiencing unrelieved pain, anxiety, or confusion?
  • Can you maintain their hygiene and comfort without causing stress to them?

If you’re unsure, we offer quality of life consultations to talk through your concerns and help assess your pet’s condition compassionately and objectively.

What to Expect

Our team will walk you through every step of the process — from sedation to the final goodbye — ensuring you have time to say farewell in your own way. We respect every family’s wishes and cultural values and can help create a calm, private space.

Aftercare Options

Aftercare options are available to help you honour your pet in the way that feels right for your family. We can guide you through the available choices, including home burial where permitted, or private and communal cremation options. Paw print impressions and fur keepsakes can also be arranged as a lasting memory of your companion.

We work with trusted cremation providers including Albany Pet Cremations and Serenity Park Pet Crematorium in Albany. For horses, we can assist in arranging cremation aftercare through Lawnswood Pet Cremation Services in Perth.
